July 24th Webinar - Clinician Well-being in the Face of Covid-19

Presenter: Darrell G. Kirch, MD, President Emeritus, Association of American Medical Colleges

In recent years there has been growing awareness of various forms of distress, ranging from burnout to mental disorders to suicidality, among clinicians. Nevertheless, there continues to be broad misunderstanding of the dynamics underlying these problems, and even less agreement on approaches to improving clinician well-being. The demands upon clinicians created by Covid-19 have exacerbated clinician distress. The webinar will focus on improving understanding of these problems, with special attention to national initiatives and a systems approach to improving well-being.
